Importing a pattern

You can restore a pattern from a backup file you exported earlier — for instance to recover a pattern or to return to an earlier intermediate version.

What you can import

Import only works with an earlier export of the same pattern. What you cannot do:

• You can't import the binary file of one pattern as the content of a different pattern.
• You can't import a backup file that someone else exported — only the original owner can import their own exports.

This keeps every pattern tied to its rightful owner and prevents backup files from being used to copy patterns between accounts.
