Non-rectangular pattern#
Most mosaic crochet patterns are rectangular, but CromoDesigner can also design non-rectangular ones.
Drawing the outline#
Open the Properties dialog, expand the Advanced pattern properties section, and tick Non-rectangular. Then draw the pattern outline as though you were drawing a border line with a pen. You can redraw it as many times as you like until the shape is exactly what you want.
To undo your changes, simply draw along the edge again — this places the border stitches back at the first and last stitch columns.
Symmetric shapes#
In most cases you'll want a symmetric shape. Tick Draw the outline symmetrically at both sides, and you only need to draw one border side; the opposite side mirrors your drawing automatically.
Once the outline is set, CromoViewer will show an adapted number of stitches for each row of the pattern.
