Generate chart

The main advantage of CromoDesigner is that anyone can follow your patterns in the free CromoViewer app, which removes the need for a printed chart or written pattern altogether.

Even so, CromoDesigner can generate a chart and download it as an image or a PDF. Click Tools > Generate PDF or Tools > Generate PNG.

Colors

Choose the colors to use for the chart. By default, the colors you set earlier in the Preview are proposed.

Grid and symbols

A chart is only useful when it shows the stitch type for every stitch in the pattern. Before generating, make sure Show grid and Show symbols are both turned on (see Views) — the chart follows the state of these toggles.
